When it comes to spectacular building designs and achieving mind blowing architectural feats, Dubai is King! here are some of Dubai’s most renowned structures.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Jumeirah Beach Hotel which is one of the leading resorts in the world has a 26 storey curved elevation structure that is dynamically shaped, it is 93m high and 275m long. It’s building is a replica of a breaking ocean wave that is surrounded by captivating scenery. They have a six-star rating with luxurious villas with personal pools inclusive, an Arabian garden terrain, a 2500m2 spacious conference room, a 53 hectare Marina. Their beach restaurant is comfortably styled in timber and a barassti structure.

Burj al-Arab

Burj al-Arab which goes by it’s prestigious name Tower of the Arabs, the 321m long building was erected in 1993 and was finally done by 1999. It was uniquely designed by Tom Wright and Carlos Ott as an icon in Dubai that can be compared to that of other captivating buildings around the world, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris France and the Sydney Opera House in Sydney Australia. It houses up to 202 residential suites. The Arabian Tower was built in a-state-of-the-art shape of a sailing yacht to depict the seafaring culture of Dubai.

Burj Khalifa

With a height of 828m soaring high above the city of Dubai, Burj Khalifa is known to be the world’s tallest synthetic building. Al Ghurair Investment group constructed this amazing masterpiece, it consists of a Giorgio Armani hotel, offices and residential suites. The top has a cool ventilation system to help prevent the air from being moist, it’s structure is assembled with glass and fortified concrete with a spectacular landscape. The Burj Khalifa was awarded the best structural design of the year by YearLEAF. Facilities such as, a 3,000 parking space, outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, spa, etc are provided at the Buj Khalifa.

Cayan Tower

The Infinity Tower now called Cayan Tower is a record-breaking spiraling tower of about 330m high with 75 stories. It is noted down as the tallest building with a twist of 90° in the world, it is adorned with exterior RGB modules that creates lightening effects that changes color simultaneously. The architects that were involved in putting all this together are Ross Wimer and George J. Efstathiou.

Damac Residenze

Damac residenze is designed by one of the world’s renowned architectural firm, Aedas. It’s 420m soaring tower is located in the Dubai Marina, and has a captivating beach front view with an en suit accommodation and presidential suites. The building after completion will be added to the list of the tallest buildings in Dubai and the world at large.

O- 14 / Reiser + Umemoto

O- 14 was completed in 2011, it is a commercial building with office spaces perched on a 22 storey building with a two-section poduim and concrete shells that have an exoskeleton exterior. In its 300,000 square feet, the building contains five-star restaurants, office spaces and other facilities.

Wave Tower, Dubai

The wave tower in Dubai is 370 meters high with 92 floor located in the Madinat Al Arab District. The building exterior clads a dual glass skin with a white silk screen semblance that helps control the sunlight. The wave tower was designed by a Spanish Architectural firm, it serves mostly for exclusive and commercial use.

Pentominium

Designed by Andrew Bromberg of architects of Aedas, the Pentomium measures up to 51m high with 122 storeys. The excavations which is one of the deepest ever done in Dubai, was done by ‘Swissboring Overseas Piling Corp.’ It offers facilities such as, a private cinema, dining hall, business lounge, residential apartments and many more.
